Architecture Projects

Private houses, a cottage community and an office building, taken from the first study of the site to working drawings. Every project in this section was designed by our own architects.

How we design houses and buildings

We start with the site and with how a family or a company will use the building, then move to massing, plans, facades and materials. For House for Cosmopolitan (300 m², 2021) that meant thermowood, clinker brick and standing-seam cassettes, with a pool designed next to the house. Copper Hall, a 660 m² office building, is clad in KME copper and has panoramic Passive House glazing. In the Carpathians we planned a whole cottage community: houses with one to three bedrooms, a restaurant and a sports complex with a pool and spa, about 10,000 m² of buildings, and next to it the 75 m² one-bedroom Minimalism House.

For clients in Seattle, Bellevue and Kirkland our architects develop the full documentation to Washington State and local codes; drawings that require a local license are signed by licensed professionals we work with. The Pacific Northwest climate shapes the details: long wet seasons, roof drainage, covered outdoor space and glazing that brings in light during the grey months.
